Thanks for these presentation. To see if they download properly! Good work putting this group together Holly!
I'm not familiar with the CPP Program, but I was very excited to come across these presentations! The resources that you have posted are so very pertinent to having a youth-centred approach to child protection. In looking through them I was particualrly struck by the triple A informed action process that begins with youth. By incorporating several steps that seek to understand young people's interpretation of their community this approach seems to put youth at the root of the process which is so important for meaningful youth participation. By building in community while keeping the youth perspectives as the base, it really reinforces the knowledge and empowerment of young people.
I was also very excited about the outcomes mapping presentation. Having recently attended a workshop on outcomes and evaluations of youth programs by a local member of the Canadian Evaluation Society, I was a little dismayed by the rigidity of the logic modelling process being used. This process must leave room for growth along the way and must be done with consideration of the specific context and program. If not, it leaves little room for incorporation of other benefits - often identified by the youth. I think that it is important to focus on the process and to be flexible and "context-aware" when thinking about outcomes.
Thank you very much for posting these resources.
Thanks for the words of encouragement. It was truly a valuable learning experience for all of those attending including our program partners in Thailand and Brazil. CPP is working with Civil Society Organizations, Law Enforcement, Government Agencies, UNICEF and INGOs to tackle the issue of IT enabled child sexual exploitation from a child centred and systems approach.

The Triple A development process is integral to the work of IICRD and we use this in many contexts in dealing with a variety of issues and/or problems facing children and communities around the world. Outcome Mapping emerged as an alternative to the Results Based Management tools that put an emphasis on Impacts and ultimate outcomes which are often hard to achieve and measure in the short term (life of a project) and don't measure the important progress leading to outcomes. It is a great M & E tool that IICRD and CPP are beginning to integrate in our work.

Thanks again for your feedback and comments. Until later!
Cheers!
