Permalink Reply by Michele Cook on September 23, 2009 at 11:34am I totally agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, I think that you can not get children effectively and safely involved, without creating an enabling environment for them, where family and community accept it, consider it and create space for their involvement. Sometime we work in isolation only with children. Unless the people who live with them are open to children input, children might be put in a more challenges situation that they were before fighting for their rights. Having said that, I am not saying that we should hold back children involvement, till the ecology of child is ready. I believe that you need to work in parallel processes with both children and adults. In this way, you ensure no harm at children.
