INDIGENOUS CHILDREN AND THE FIRST UN PERMANT FORUM ON INDIGENOUS ISSUES

   

       I have been recalling the First Historical session of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous issues when in May 2002 for the first time the UN open their doors to welcome the indigenous peoples from around the world. Gotta Respect The Youth!

Today was a historic day for the youth representing the countries in ASEAN which are linked by the Mekong River. For the first time in it's 30 years existence, the leaders of ASEAN have formally requested that the voices of the youth be heard!
