INDIGENOUS CHILDREN AND THE FIRST UN PERMANT FORUM ON INDIGENOUS ISSUES

   

       I have been recalling the First Historical session of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous issues when in May 2002 for the first time the UN open their doors to welcome the indigenous peoples from around the world. CPP working with partners at Brazilla's 8th Annual National Congress for the Rights of Children

A national child rights conference put on by the government unit of CONANDA (National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents) in Brazil is in progress until December 9, 2009. The 8th National Conference on the Rights of Children and Adolescents brings together senior decision makers from across the country for the purpose of devising a plan of action for presentation to the Brazil Presidential candidates in August 2010.
