Canadian Children's Rights Award Nomination

Do you know someone who demonstrates leadership in respect for the rights of children? Now you can nominate them for an award. The Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children (CCRC) will present our first Child Rights Awards at the Annual Meeting on November 18, 2009, in honour of the 20th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

You may nominate persons who show leadership in the following categories:
Children’s Rights Champion: for work that makes a significant difference in the lives of children
Children’s Rights Trailblazer: for original approaches that model rights-consistent activities
Children’s Rights Supporter: for supporting efforts to promote children’s rights
Article 12 Award: for a young person (under the age of 18) who exercises voice and participation for child rights.

Submit letters of nomination outlining why your nominee should receive an award, contact information for your nominee, and your contact information. Deadline for nominations is Sept. 30, 2009. Send your letter to:
