I am Mostafa from Bangladesh. Happy New year to all.

The year 2009 is coming to an end and on such occasion one tends to ask
oneself: "What have I achieved for the children " or in donor terms "What was the
sustainable impact of my activities for the children?"

Children's Amnesty

57 children were released from prisons through Somaliland president amnesty on 17/12/2009. Save children Denmark and Ministry of Justice , UNICEF and local partners named CCBRS organized the release of the children. Save the children Denmark provided cloths and medical , transportation from prison to Hargeisa and cost for transportation to join to families . Child Protection Working Group Summary

SUMMARY: The child protection working group of the Child Rights in Practice Conference hosted by the International Institute for Child Rights and Development in October 2009 is exploring the idea of a new project involving the testing of monitoring and evaluation (M/E) tools for the field of child protection. Multisector Child Rights' Activity in Thailand (updated):

Team of professor from Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University in co-operation with IICRD (Canada), UNICEF Thailand and DLA: Department of Local Administration (Ministry of Interior) provided the five days workshop on 'Child Rights-based Local Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation for Results for Children during 8 -12 December 2009.

CPP working with partners at Brazilla's 8th Annual National Congress for the Rights of Children

A national child rights conference put on by the government unit of CONANDA (National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents) in Brazil is in progress until December 9, 2009. The 8th National Conference on the Rights of Children and Adolescents brings together senior decision makers from across the country for the purpose of devising a plan of action for presentation to the Brazil Presidential candidates in August 2010.
